Alison Vande Slunt
I grew up in Middle Island, New York and ever since I was a little girl I have always loved creating art. My first masterpieces, created with my favorite medium in those days, the crayon, were of course for my mother…yes, about five to ten a day. My enthusiasm for art grew in the many art classes I took in High School. I began entering and winning contests, like the Long Island's Best Heckscher Art Show where I won Best in the Drawing Category. After graduating High School, I attended Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Youth Ministry. I also took several Fine Arts courses, continuing to invest into my love and talent of art.
During my time in college, I met my husband, Noel, a Wisconsinite, and we married in Patchogue, New York in June of 2003. After a year of living in Minneapolis as newlyweds, we moved back to Long Island, New York. I have enjoyed every minute of building my decorative painting business, fulfilling my clients' dreams of adding beauty and creativity to their atmosphere with murals, faux finishing, and the like. We relocated in March 2006, and am now commissioning projects in the triangle area of North Carolina, while enjoying our new little girl Julianna born on October 26, 2006. I look forward to meeting with you, and enhancing your world with the splendor of art. . .
